The dipping dogs were attached to chains, secured to the workers' belts and concealed in their pant legs. The thieves could then easily take a drink on the job or sneak it out! Attached to a chain and always by one's side, they became man's best friend - hence the name “dipping dogs” Each dipping dog is hand crafted by “It Takes A Thief” using sterling silver welds.
