“It Takes A Thief” Copper Dipping Dog. “The Great Dane”
Copper dipping dogs originated in the 1800's in Scotland. Distillery workers crafted dipping dogs to lower into casks to steal whiskey. The dipping dogs were attached to chains, secured to the workers' belts and concealed in their pant legs. The thieves could then easily take a drink on the job or sneak it out!
Attached to a chain and always by one's side, they became man's best friend - hence the name “dipping dogs”
Each dipping dog is hand crafted by “It Takes A Thief” using sterling silver welds. These fully functional dipping dogs are perfect for any whiskey enthusiast. Beautiful bar decor or put your dog to work!! Happy Dipping!!
